Borrow Books for Your Kids Every Monday at Jubilee Hall
Every child deserves to discover the magic of reading.
Doorstep Library is a reading charity that brings books to our estate and helps children to read every Monday 4-7pm. Come to Jubilee Hall on a Monday to get books and get your children involved!
The friendly volunteers are there to help you find the perfect books that will capture your child's imagination and reading level.
Whether your little one loves adventure stories, picture books, or is just starting their reading journey, there's something for everyone.
You can also sign up to have a trained reading volunteer visit your home or connect with your family online. Equipped with a reading stool and a backpack brimming with books, volunteers work with your child to build confidence, discover new stories, and develop a genuine love of reading. They'll take time to understand what your child enjoys and bring books that are just right for them.
Doorstep Library is especially helpful for families who may have limited access to books at home or parents who face language barriers when supporting their children's reading. The volunteers are here to help every family, building relationships and making reading a natural, enjoyable part of home life.
Reading together sparks children's imaginations, builds their confidence, and opens up new worlds of learning. The personal support from our volunteers means your child gets books tailored to their interests and the encouragement they need to thrive.
