Spots open at our amazing after school club
There’s a rare opportunity to get your children to our amazing after school club.
With the support of our community - from parents, to donors and volunteers we have created something incredible.
HOW IT STARTED
Our after school club was created by volunteers from the estate with the idea of supporting as many families as possible in our community centre. We now support more than 50 children.
For the last two years every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoon, Jubilee Hall on Tulse Hill Estate has transformed into a hub of creativity, laughter, and learning.
Originally our scheme looked after children aged 5-9 years old but we are now expanding to reach children aged 5 to 11 years old.
We are excited to welcome new children.
Children aged 5 to 11 burst through the doors at 4pm to take part in activities - from arts and crafts to dance.
It is heartwarming for residents on the estate to see children play and grow on our doorstep.
We have a library corner to encourage reading, drama sessions that help children express themselves and manage their emotions and creative activities such as sewing, pottery.
We support children with their homework and have seen huge improvements in skills such as writing and reading because of this.
For many families on the Tulse Hill Estate, our club represents the ability to work without worry, knowing their children are not just safe, but thriving. We support children with homework and some children have seen huge transformations in skills such as writing.
“My daughter has mild autism and ADHD but doing her homework at the after school club has made her more confident to read at school in front of people.” - A parent and volunteer
“The whole team is friendly, caring, and I feel that they are part of our big family. They have helped my daughters grow in confidence, make new friends, and just have a great time. My children always come home happy and sometimes tired which is a bonus.” - A parent

HOW CAN YOU HELP THE CLUB STAY RUNNING?
The Tulse Hill After School Club is proof of what's possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
As we go into our third year, we want to say thank you to our dedicated staff, volunteers and funders who are changing children’s lives.
Our volunteers give countless hours and combined with grants and our own fundraising efforts, we're building something sustainable. But we can't do it alone.
Funding cuts are happening countrywide in both charities and governments. That’s why we need funding now more than ever.
